Je participe à la prochaine exposition de groupe au Headquarters (il va y avoir deux de mes nouveaux panneaux en bois). Le vernissage est ce samedi 7 juin, au 1649 Amherst (metro Berri). Voici le dossier de presse:

HQ TURNS TWO!
A two-year anniversary party featuring a floor to ceiling group art exhibition

Come celebrate with us at our annual massive group exhibition featuring the work of more than 25 different artists. Art will be covering the walls from floor to ceiling, with everything from screen prints to original paintings to photography existing in perfect harmony.

The opening night is Saturday June 7th, 2008 from 6pm-11pm. Music will be provided by our resident DJ Garry Vickers, mini cupcakes will be available for all, drinks will be had and art will be coveted. We even have some special giveaways planned thanks to local design firm Furni Creations (http://www.furnicreations.com/). A few of our featured artists:

Headquarters Galerie & Boutique has been ushering in new artistic talent since June 1st 2006. Featuring new artist exhibitions once a month this 2 level galerie/boutique concept store aims to draw out the curious and reward the faithful. New clothing, accessories and homeware designers are added to the store roster often, and the contents of the store are constantly changing. Focusing on independent design from around the globe, the mix of art and product design meld in glorious harmony.

Un des deux panneaux de bois qui sont présentement accrochés au Headquarters. Le titre vient d'une réplique du très vénérable Larry David, dans la saison 6 de Curb you enthusiasm..

Le vernissage est demain (samedi 1 décembre) à la galerie Headquarters! Je vais avoir deux panneaux en bois sérigraphiés. L'exposition se poursuivera tout le mois de décembre, pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas aller au vernissage.

Our second annual $100 or less art show

Saturday December 1st, stop by and enjoy our enormous group Christmas show. With works from over 30 artists, no piece sells for more than $100! Pick out that perfect Xmas gift from pieces in many different mediums and many different styles.

We came up with this show concept in the hopes that people who have been too nervous about purchasing art for fear of high prices will come and dig in, and hopefully spread the love by buying art as a present.

We think art can be a really great gift that supports independent design, has minimal packaging and shows that you really thought about what to get.

In the past we have had prints selling for as low as $10, and original paintings on canvases checking in around the $100 point. Many artists do a grouping of a few affordable pieces, so you can pick up one, or a few.

It's one of our favorite shows to organize, and based on the success of last years show, it seems to be one of our customers faves as well.
